A chemical peel is a technique which involves the application of a mild acid solution in order to improve the properties of the skin on the face, neck or hands mainly. The chemical solution thus applied to the skin causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off giving way to the generation of fresh rejuvenated skin.
‘Medifacial’ implies to a facial done with specialised machines and cosmeceuticals. These cosmeceuticals contain five times the normal constituents than a normal saloon product. Thus, a medifacial is able to give you far superior resultsthan what a saloon facial will.
To enhance the result we include the microdermabrasion treatment done by 2 separate methods. Medifacials are used for all types of skin problems such as acne, melasma, tanning, scars and rejuvenation.
Cleansing: Firstly, a non-irritating cleanser is used to remove make-up, dead skin cells, oil, dirt, and other types of pollutants from the skin of the face. This helps to unclog pores and prevent skin conditions such as acne.
Hydro-exfoliation: The signature machine at Dr. Manjot’s Clinic further helps to remove the dead cells from the topmost skin layer, without causing any harm to the skin. It simultaneously also infuses the skin with the selected cosmeceutical, selected for your skin such as Vitamin C or Hyaluronic acid, etc; making the skin feel hydrated.
Peeling: Peeling is the most important step in this process. This helps in giving an instant glow and a long lasting refreshed look to the skin. The type of peel can be selected by the indication which suits you the most. Some higher strength peels may be applied for longer duration and show a delayed and prolonged result, since they cause deeper exfoliation
Oxy-Jet:In Oxygen Jet, oxygen and sterile saline is combined to gently cleanse and hydrate the skin. This will also help in keeping the skin cool. The blend is delivered much like an airbrush treatment and the result is amazing.
Cleansing- The face is cleansed again and the peel is washed off
Mask – A mask is applied for 5 minutes to give an instant glow to the skin besides brightening it.
Massage: Massage with soothing cream will help you to reduce red spot and irritating skin. By increasing blood circulation and oxygen flow to the facial muscles and skin, the face is less likely to fall into deep wrinkles or show signs of physical and/or emotional stress. Facial massage also encourages the development of collagen.
Sunscreen– Lastly, a sunscreen is applied during the day procedures, to keep your new rejuvenated skin safe from sun exposure.
The treatment has some benefits which are as follows.
Time required for the treatment is 30 minutes per sitting. It is required to take one sitting in a month for at least three months. It is necessary to take at least three sittings without fail for amazing results.
Medifacial are of different types and they vary from one another on the basis of the kind of peels used in them. It is an efficacious age reversal method against hyper pigmentation caused by sun exposure, photo ageing or scars. Yellow Peel mask is applied onto the face and left for approximately 6-8 hours.
It contains salicylic acid 30%, which is also known as double strength peel. This can be used in case of active acne. It helps decrease the redness in pimples and also the scarring.
Done along with a specialised CO2 mask, it helps in clearing out all the pores and giving soft supple hydrated skin.
